Welcome to Tysons Corner
A high-end suburban community along the Capitol Beltway
Tysons Corner is sometimes referred to as Edge City, for its convenient placement along the Capitol Beltway just on the edge of the D.C metro area. Though it’s full of urban amenities, and an easy commute to the city center, Tysons is the peaceful suburban answer to the bustle of the metro area. With plenty of gorgeous parks and beautiful wooded neighborhoods, it feels quiet and secluded in all the best ways.
Tysons Corner was a sprawling rural landscape full of peach trees for many years. That’s how it earned its first name of Peach Grove. But in the 1960s, the land was developed into a huge shopping district, including the largest enclosed mall in the country for many years. It continues to be a shopper’s paradise but has also developed with many corporate offices and high-end residential options.
Homes in Tysons Corner vary from luxury condos in high rises to wooded estates with renovated Colonial homes. It is a community full of variety, providing its residents with the lifestyle and space they want while still keeping them close to the heart and excitement of the District.
